PICs celebrate a year...

C says:

It's exactly a year since Estee and I first met (outside Carphone Warehouse at Tottenham Court Road, since you ask!) And an amazing year it has been.. we met, fell in love, and packed a whole load into our first 12 months together! It's rare to meet someone you just click with, laugh with, where you have a perfect balance of things in common and it's relaxed and easy, but balanced by sheer excitement and joy in being together...

So anyway, it's been good!

A year ago we met on the corner of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road, had a meal at Bam Bou Restaurant on Percy Street, enjoyed some after dinner drinks before I walked her back to her sister's place where she was staying the night... I took a taxi home and sent her a text which left her in no doubt that I definitely wanted to see her again!

The rest is history...

So for our anniversary, we wanted to remind ourselves of the day we met... we both finished work at 1pm, met in Leicester Square, grabbed some lunch before heading to Covent Garden Odeon to watch Slumdog Millionaire (which was very good indeed). After the film we headed to a pub in China Town for Strawberry Beers... one we tried and failed to find on first date! We decided to put that right tonight... ;-) Then back to Bam Bou for our anniversary meal, which was every bit as good as we remembered!

Now we're back home, with a couple of glasses of Kir Royale, toasting our year together. It's the perfect end to a perfect year... Here's to many more Estee!

It's 2009 and I'm grateful to be alive and healthy, having the love and support of my family & C, and to witness a man of colour being the first person of colour being President of U.S.A :-)

WOW its been 2 whole weeks and no blog action from C&I! Since returning to work after the Christmas hols it has been mad busy for both of us :-s

I'm so glad for the weekend...my week has been exhausting and that old friend called 'Insomnia' has decided to come for a visit. Don't you just hate when your body wants to sleep and you just can't!! Counting sheep (doh!), hot milky drink....just does not work. It didn't help that I was suffering with a tummy bug and I've still got that cold :-(

Wednesday night was particularly bad...C was fast asleep and I was laying in bed thinking, staring up at the time on the ceiling

"Estee you need to sleep...it's late and you got work in the morning!!!"

Yeah well shouting to myself...didn't work either. I read, watched 30 mins of a DVD then by 4.30am, C had woken up and found me lying on the sofa bed.

It's amazing how some people can just touch a pillow and then off like Snow White...C is one of those peeps. Aaargh... really need to figure this one out, less thinking at bedtime could help I suppose.

That was a few days ago...I can say that I slept like a baby last night and could handle looking in the mirror at my less obvious panda eyes! :-)

C stayed at his flat last night so I've gotta run...as I'm meeting him at 2pm! We're checking out a photography gallery and taking some shots of our favourite city!...I hope it doesn't rain

I haven't mentioned this till now but C cooks amazing South East Asian food...yum! and what's really good is I happen to LOVE eating it :-) As I blog...C is currently in Chef mode and trying out this recipe...looks good don't it! http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3753/singapore-noodles
